Lotte Maja Bjerre, born in 1983, resides in Søborg, Copenhagen. She has been an artist for 12 years, initially drawing on paper to depict hairlike structures wrapped around objects.

From a young age, Bjerre was fascinated with shiny objects, and through her artwork, she sought to capture the softness and glossy, detailed structures. Her ambition was to bring these drawings to life by wrapping string around real objects. Her pieces are crafted from painted cardboard, which are wrapped in very thin nylon thread. This thread is transparent, allowing the color of the cardboard to shine through. The pieces are mounted on wood, capturing light and changing in intensity and color throughout the day.
