SARA LUNDKVIST

Sara Lundkvist (b. 1982) is a Swedish glass artist who specializes in glass sculptures consisting of both blown and molded glass. Inspired by magical phenomena, spirituality and science fiction, she creates glass objects that mirror desire, hope, and dreams. With a vast color palette, from the mystical darkness to all the colors of the rainbow, she wants her glass objects to look like they come from another world.

In her latest work, she has worked with both small objects and larger sizes for spatial installations. Through innovative combinations of techniques, she creates expressions that defy the expectations of what glass would make possible. It can be through creating glass to look like another material or get glass to behave in a way that should not be possible.

She has also initiated the separatist feminine glass group BOOM! to create new arenas for Swedish glass.
