Karl Kolak is a young photographer from Biarritz. From an English father, a German mother, he travels to the four corners of the world guided by his love of the ocean to finally settle in Biarritz, where he finds harmony with the ocean and a creative richness.
His photos express a constant search for freedom and precious moments. Combining the power of the ocean with the desire to denounce the violence done to nature, he captures moments of fragile beauty and transcribes them through refined, minimalist and intense photography. A story just waiting to be written, again and again, to the unwavering rhythm of the swell.
