ALEX BAECHLER

Alex Baechler is an artist exploring the mediums of photography, video, and cinema. He lived much of his life in New York and Asia before continuing his career in Switzerland. After studying photography at RISD (Rhode Island School of Design), cinema at NYU (New York University), and completing his visual arts thesis at the School of Visual Arts in New York, he worked in New York as a cinematographer and photographer on major film and advertising productions. Back in Geneva, he founded his production company and worked in theater, fashion, music festivals, and film production.

In September 2023, he exhibited his photographs at the MABE gallery in Geneva. With his exhibition "Soulscapes," he explores the spatio-temporal dimension of landscapes, echoing our inner landscapes in perpetual movement and redefinition. He illuminates the horizons he photographs with his inner light in an ongoing dialogue.
